"Having spent all my life as a working choreographer, I am not surprised to find that in middle age my joints and bones are suffering from overuse and probably abuse! Recently, I have had an extremely tender knee that has meant limited exertion and has made climbing stairs particularly difficult. For someone who daily has to teach dance and therefore remain active this was becoming a catastrophe. "For the last 26 years I have lived with the consequences of a mistaken medical procedure, albeit well-intentioned at the time. "I started using the X4000 from Pain Ban about 6 months ago to help alleviate pain from an area of swelling behind my left knee.I had been to the Doctors and was told that I had a condition called a Bakers Cyst. The Doctor had told me to stop exercising for a couple of weeks to see if the cyst would go down naturally. If it didn’t, he explained that we may have to consider surgery, although there are no guarantees as to how successful that would be. I rested for 6 weeks and although the swelling had gone down, the pain was still there when I exercised or bent my knee tightly. That’s when I started using the Pain Ban. I used it at least twice a day for five minutes at a time. After a couple of weeks I noticed that the pain was starting to become less and less during normal everyday activities, before long I was back playing Badminton twice a week. With regular use the Pain Ban not only helps to alleviate pain but also in my case can actually prevent the onset of pain, especially during exercise.
